In a world where immortality is achieved by drinking alcohol, having sex and partying every night, three friends in their hundreds (who don’t look a day over eighteen) try to hold onto their youth in the face of a rapidly changing world.

When we are young, we sometimes feel that the world is stacked against us. This is the case for 16 year-old Steeve Simard (Lévi Doré), who is entering his last year at Gaston-Miron High School in St-Lambert. A cynical intellectual with a critical view of himself and the world, he struggles to establish bonds with his parents and peers. He only has one friend: Virgil (Jonathan St-Armand). In order to evade his loneliness and fill a void in his imagination, he seeks refuge in his books and music. However, an incident with the star of the Spartans football team, will force Steeve to come out of his shell and face his destiny…

In the present, artist Tom Warshaw recalls his traumatic coming of age. As a 13-year-old growing up in New York City in 1973, Tom hangs out with Pappass, a mentally disabled man. With Tom’s mother battling depression after the death of her husband, the young boy is left to his own devices. When Tom develops a crush on schoolmate Melissa, Pappass feels abandoned and begins behaving erratically.

Jerome (Adam Deacon) breaks out of his council estate gang and becomes a successful and famous footballer, but he soon learns that his old life isn’t as easy to leave behind as he had hoped when his old gang catch up with him and start demanding regular payments.

Bunny (Angell Conwell) and Carlyle (Lyriq Bent) are roommates and have been best friends since college. Despite their undeniable attraction for one another, they have managed to keep their friendship platonic. Bunny’s group of friends, including the very outspoken Rona (Elise Neal), plus Bunny’s meddling mother (Jack̩e Harry), would love to see the best friends cross that line once and for all – and they use their Ladies Book Club meetings to try to spark a love connection.

The brutality of winter and the power of the mind are aptly portrayed in this dark comedy set in Northern Quebec. Bruce (Thomas Haden Church) is merely trying to survive a harsh winter when he meets Jean. Conflict leads to an accidental death, and Bruce finds himself in a complicated and unexpected place. Grappling with his guilt, Bruce creates a prison from which he cannot escape. Haden Church perfectly utilizes his comic talent in this wry, well-crafted film.
